Youth work is voluntary and organised activities of young people in their leisure time outside their family, formal education, or employment. These activities are part of non-formal learning of young people and contribute to their personal and social development, and as well have an impact on the community in which they live. Youth work is mainly provided by youth organisations and non-governmental organisations working with youth. Youth work should not be confused with student work as a form of employment.
