Youth policy is, in simple terms, a set of measures of the Government (or of local communities) that helps young people in their transition from childhood to adulthood. It comprises elements of other sectoral policies (education, health, employment policies, etc.) that relate to youth, and as such cannot be bound to only one institution. Developing and implementing youth policy is closely linked to the work of the Office for Youth, which among other things and more specifically promotes youth work, coordinates measures in the field of youth and provides conditions for social dialogue with youth.
